Mark Terry dishes up meaty blues chops, psychedelic noodlings and reckless
rock guitar riffs with fire and passion to recreate some of rock’s finest
moments. For Plain Brown Wrapper he contributes the unique rhythm and background
accents on guitar synth to help provide additional depth to PBR’s “Wall
of Sound”. The guitar synth emulates the sound of three piece horns, organ,
synthesizer, sax, piano and other fills as called for in the original songs.
Since he began honing his craft as an acoustic duet and solo performer in
bistro’s, Mark went on to serve as an electric rhythm guitarist for the
all-original showcase band Impact. Next, he provided the guitar for the
rock cover bands the Sundowners and the 3rd Degree. Then, in the studio
with originals again, worked with the Trek Band. He began using the guitar
synth with Rox Steady and with Fenton Road. His vocals on classic pop ballads
provides additional depth to the male side of the band’s otherwise harder
rock repertoire.
Mark includes Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Steve Winwood and
Leon Russell as early influences, as well as British Invasion, Motown, Sun
Records and the San Francisco sound of the psychedelic sixties.
Mark hails from Northville, MI and lives with his two boys. Travel to the
Caribbean and Mexico, SCUBA Diving and motorcycles are favorite pastimes.
